Connexionz Limited (NZAX: CNX) has formed a 50-50 joint venture company with the United Kingdom’s Infocell Investments Ltd.
Connexionz has a management contract for the management and marketing of the joint venture.
Christchurch-based Connexionz develops real-time vehicle tracking systems for buses in both New Zealand and international markets. The innovative BusFinder real time passenger information (RTPI) system is installed on Christchurch’s buses and has also been sold to bus system operators in Auckland, Sydney Australia, Oregon, California, Virginia and Maryland in the United States.
"The joint venture with Infocell provides a beach head for Connexionz to supply products and services into the United Kingdom market," said Connexionz board chairman Craig Boyce.
"Opportunities are in the United Kingdom for Connexionz to sell additional software, BusFinder Xpress signage, and development services," said Mr Boyce.
"Infocell’s clients were impressed by Connexionz’ high customer satisfaction ratings when they surveyed our clients as part of their due diligence process.
